A Healing Place

The purpose of A Healing Place is to offer a place where people who are suffering from physical ailments can come and be prayerfully ministered to.

Time: The healing room is open every Saturday from 9AM to 10:30 AM. We pray for guests on a first come first served basis. Guests must arrive and sign in by 10:30 AM.

Location:  A Healing Place is located inside Neighborhood Church at 2801 Notre Dame Blvd. in Chico, California.

We will be meeting in the CEC building to the right of the dome. Watch for the large directional signs when you enter the parking lot area. Our greeters will be inside to assist you to register and answer your questions.

Wheel Chairs:  We have a couple of wheel chairs available for our guests to use while visiting. Please inquire with our greeters when you arrive to obtain the use of one.

Cost:  Ministry in the healing room is provided at no cost. Those who wish to make a tax deductable donation to the healing room may do so by placing it in the offering box located in the greeting area. All donations are used to maintain and improve the level of excellence in the healing room ministry.

Due to the limited time available on Saturday mornings the Healing Place is not equipped to minister to those seeking emotional healing (inner healing counseling), deliverance or prophetic ministry. We recommend that those interested in this type of ministry contact the church office at 343-6006 to be referred to Restored Healing Ministries which is a Neighborhood Church ministry.

At Neighborhood Church we do not pretend we have all the answers to healing, why some are healed and some are not, but we do not believe that healing is withheld because of sin or lack of faith. God is good.... all the time and he loves each of His children.

Preparing to visit:  At Neighborhood Church we believe that God's will is always "Life and Life more abundantly."  We believe that God is always good, and it is always His will to heal. Healing is more about His goodness and Grace and the price Jesus paid than it is about our performance. As you prepare for your visit to A Healing Place, we encourage you to prepare your heart to receive from Him by meditating on His goodness. He gives us great and precious promises in the scriptures regarding health, healing, wholeness and experiencing His righteousness, peace and joy. We encourage you to read and declare those promises of God over yourself, thanking and praising Him for them. It is often beneficial to personalize His promises, speaking them in the first person between yourself and God.

Here is an example from Psalm 103:  "I will bless you Lord with all my soul and not forget your many benefits. You forgive all my iniquities and you heal all my diseases. You redeem my life from destruction and crown me with loving kindness and tender mercies; you fill my life with good things so that my youth is renewed like the eagle's."
