Debbie Romero

Human Resources

I was born in Boulder City, Nevada. After living in New York, New Jersery & Rochester Minnesota, my Dad took a government job in Minneapolis where I completed school. I grew up active and involved in the Lutheran church. There I taught Sunday School, participated in youth ministry, and was active in youth leadership. I moved to Paradise with my parents three weeks after graduating from high school (culture shock!) and attended Chico State. I did my internship in Honolulu where I later met my husband. Although I grew up in church, it wasn't until 1995 when we returned to Paradise that I developed a real relationship with Jesus and became passionate in my walk. Our lives radically changed. I am a passionate worshiper. I've been married 23 years to my husband, Alfredo and have two daughters.

Ministries
I've been involved in prayer and woman's ministries, and managed a traveling outreach ministry band with my husband for five years. My heart now reaches out to those afflicted wiith chronic disease & seeing the miracles of Jesuus alive in the church. I have a tender heart for women and love investing in people. Working at Neighborhood Church (in human resources) since 2007 years has been a true gift.

Education
BA Recreation Administration - CSUChico. I have had extensive management training as Executive and Regional Director for a chain of Senior Care Facilities in southern California. Also, I served as Director of Marketing and Volunteer Management for the Girl Scouts in Chico.

Interesting Facts

• I am an only child.
• Because of my dad's job we spent every summer traveling the U.S.
• I have had the opportunity to see all but four states.
• I lived in Hawaii for two years
• I played clarinet & accordion
• I love the beach (anywhere tropical) and enjoy reading and movies.
